The UK and Europe is a fantastic destination with a little bit of everything for everyone.

You can visit the iconic castles in England through to the beautiful vineyards of Southern France or maybe the bustling streets of Rome.

From families to honeymooners or young adventurers, this is a destination that will please you.

CLIMATE

The day-to-day climate in the UK and Europe varies, but the year is divided into four distinct seasons.

In the summer months, the days are usually warm with cooler evenings.

The winter season experiences much shorter days and very cool conditions, often with rain and snow.

PASSPORTS, VISAS and INSURANCE

Australian passport holders do not require a visa for holiday travel of less than 90 days. However, an electronic visa is required for entry to Turkey.

Passports must be valid for at least six months from date of entry.

Please confirm passport and visa requirements with your travel consultant or appropriate embassy or consular office.

We strongly recommend purchase of a comprehensive travel insurance policy when you book your holiday.

CURRENCY

The pound sterling (GBP) is used throughout England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.

The euro (EUR) is used by a majority of European countries with the exception of Turkey (lira), Croatia (kuna), Denmark (krone), Sweden (krona) and Hungary (forint).

Major credit cards are widely accepted and ATMs are readily available throughout Europe.

ENGLAND

In many ways England has quite a familiar feel about it, with names you’ll instantly recognise — from Newcastle in the north, to Kings Cross right in the heart of London.

With so much to see and do, you’ll feel right at home.

London, one of the most exciting cities in the world, has an absolutely fascinating history and some of the richest culture in Europe.

If it’s nightlife you’re after, London has some great pubs and world-famous bars to experience.

Take a trip out of London to discover the English countryside’s breathtaking beauty and historic cities.

FRANCE

The Eiffel Tower, fine wine, romance and joie de vivre all make for one very chic nation.

Savour art in the shining capital of Paris, see glorious history at Versailles, or laze by the sparkling blue Mediterranean.

Indulge your rich-and-famous fantasies in balmy Nice and St Tropez.

ITALY

With 44 World Heritage-listed sites, more than any other country on earth, and its great citta d’arte (cities of art), such as Rome, Venice and Florence, Italy draws visitors from around the world. Hike the Dolomites, dive off Sardinia’s sun-bronzed coast, or ski the Alps.

A trip to Italy is also about the lifestyle. Enjoy an espresso at an alfresco cafe or a long, lazy lunch in the Mediterranean sun.
