Those looking for a low-maintenance beachfront lifestyle will be drawn to the new Paradis Apartments in the Shorehaven at Alkimos estate.

BGC Development will develop and construct 16 boutique apartments just 100m from the beach in the northerncorridor estate.

“Paradis has been designed to cater to an emerging market that wants to be part of an established coastal community without the need to build or maintain a traditional home,” BGC Development general manager Ross Catalano said.

“For people looking for a ‘lock-up and leave’ lifestyle for work or travel, it offers security and peace of mind, while as an investment proposition it will endure over time, given the superior location and quality of the product.”

The apartments will have large living spaces, three bedrooms, generous balconies or courtyards and quality finishes. They will also be designed to meet six-star energy ratings.

Apartments will be single-level designs in a two-storey building. Ten of them are still available for sale, priced from $429,000.

Selling agent Chris Tonich, of Burgess Rawson, said early buyers had noted the area’s potential both now and in the longer term.

“In Paradis, BGC Development has created a unique lifestyle opportunity that will be desirable for years to come as the area continues to mature and develop, along with great potential for lifestyle amenities such as cafes, shops and restaurants, ” Mr Tonich said.

The development is minutes from the Brighton commercial centre and the new Butler train station. New primary and high schools are also proposed for the area, Woolworths and 17 specialty stores will be under construction from 2016 and stage one of a 4ha waterfront park is now complete, including a playground, sporting facilities and picnic areas, with a beach club and kiosk scheduled to follow.
