Though most people would hate to have cameras in their face around the clock, it’s all in a day’s work for Esperance-born blogger Zanita Whittington.

Whittington, who started her career as a model ten years ago before moving into photography and blogging, has been followed by a film crew for the last few months for Fashion Bloggers — Foxtel’s new reality TV show.

“To be honest I don’t mind being filmed, maybe it’s because I was a model for so long and I’m comfortable being in front of the camera, ” she told AAA.

Commanding over 140,000 Instagram followers and 46,000 Facebook fans, the 28-year-old will star in the Style Network program alongside fellow Australian blogging royalty including Mandy Shadforth from Oracle Fox and Kate Waterhouse.

Despite not being camera-shy, Whittington admits she was somewhat reticent to sign on to the show when initially approached by the producers.

“When I first met the girls from the show I was a bit wary, ” the blonde beauty said.

“I was like ‘Why would somebody want to follow me around?’ I felt a bit strange about it. I didn’t really trust that it would be interesting TV but it’s been a little bit of a journey since they initially asked me so now I can see why it might be exciting.”

While many would feel the need to be on their best behaviour in front of a camera crew, Whittington is determined to just be herself.

“I made a promise to myself that I would just try to be my most genuine self for the show because I felt like if I started to put on the act I wouldn’t be satisfied with the whole process of it, ” she said.

“That’s something I learnt when I was modelling when I was younger. I realised when I was being my genuine self I started getting a lot more work because people could trust me.”

“I’m kind of in two minds about whether I even want to watch myself on the TV, ” Whittington said.

“I’m excited to see what opportunities it opens up because the show is really about what I’m doing and I hope I get to do more and more exciting things with the show behind me.”
